This lamp is the result of a collaboration between Boo in Barcelona and Estiluz.  The former is a specialist in the technical aspects of aluminium metal parts that does excellent work with anodized finishes, while the latter has contributed its knowledge and experience in lighting systems and has added the diffusers. The collaboration by the companies made it possible to bring this design by Pablo Figuera to production, who got the idea for the piece while working in Boo in Barcelona and which eventually materialized in this interesting table lamp.

FOLIO uses a flat pattern which is laser cut and is shaped with folds. The result is a minimalist lamp with clean lines.  The FOLIO is a functional lamp with pure, yet carefully studied profiles. Lateral folds, which serve as a shade while hiding the LED source, protects users from glare and offers precise lighting.  FOLIO is manufactured in aluminium, a 100% recyclable material, and is powered by low consumption LEDs, making this a product designed according to sustainable criteria.  FOLIO is kind to the environment and harnesses local talent since the entire production process takes place in Catalonia.

The FOLIO design has won several prizes such as the prestigious Design Plus 2012 prize awarded by the German Design Council and the ADI Bronze Medal 2012.
